Club trip 2018

In November last year, the friends of Wittgenstein's old motorcycles once again went on the club's regular outing. This time, the two-day trip took us to neighboring Sauerland. In Eslohe, on the one hand, we had the cultural offerings of the Esloher brewery presented to us in all its diversity, on the other hand, we got to know the place and its history better in the "Steam Country People" museum. The second day began with the onward journey to Ramsbeck, where we took the mine train underground and ventured deep into the mountain to better understand mining and its history, which is important for Germany. On the way home, we paid a visit to the Curioseum in Willingen, where everyone involved had a lot to laugh about because of the sometimes bizarre presentation of the exhibits. The successful excursion ended with a joint dinner in Langewiese. Special thanks go to our organizer Michael and the bus company Eberhard Wied, who made the greatest contribution to the success!
Classic Car Meeting 2018 from June 1st to 3rd, 2018

We say thank you!
Thanks to every member who pitched in this past weekend. Whether setting up or dismantling, behind the counter, in the kitchen or as part of our tour.
Thanks to every guest, with or without two-wheelers. Whether from Oberndorf, Cologne, northern Germany or the Netherlands. And of course everyone else too ;-)
Every year it's nice to be able to welcome you all between old machines in (mostly) nice weather in Oberndorf!
Until next year!

Wittgensteiner Heimatlied

Where the lark cheerfully trills its morning song
where you can see firs, spruces and also oaks
where many a wanderer rests along the way
there is my homeland, there I am at home

Early in the morning the young son of a huntsman mounts

with the triplets and the dog up to the heights
shoots many a little deer, sees many a maiden
he who has lost his heart cannot be a huntsman.
The tiller works in the red earth
while the capercaillie courts in the bushes
and the red cattle graze in the green fields
until the autumn wind blows rough through nature.

Do you ask who came up with this beautiful song?
a born Wittgensteiner did it
who longed for home in such a difficult time
Oh - you dear homeland, how far have you gotten so far.

He has now devised this beautiful song for us
rests quietly in the hero's grave in the Far East
Oh his last wish should never be fulfilled
He never saw his dear Wittgenstein again.
